| Antique Silver tray, sugar tongs, Silver lustre creme jugs, and the BEST "NUMI Velvet Garden White Rose" tea I have ever tasted(I've posted NUMI's website here on my blog and on the comments below this post)... I am a coffee drinker but have several teas that I truly LOVE and this is one of them. AND YES it does taste like "Roses", how Wonderful is that to serve at your next "High Tea"... I first found it at HOME GOODS(can you believe it?), I had bought it because of it's name and the box was SO PRETTY... WELL..."I tasted it"...AND... the next day I went BACK to the store and bought "Every single box" they had... You know I was giving everyone I knew the "gift of my discovery" |

| "Feast your eyes on this Masterpiece"!!! Can you imagine this is all hand done... I call it my "Priceless Museum Piece" and I've requested that I be buried with these beautiful treasures because I plan on having "tea parties in my afterlife" AND we must have ONLY the best linens because can you "IMAGINE" what the coffee and tea must taste like in heaven... OH, I have a matching small tablecloth too... I'll be using that in the near future for another table scape... |

| My Grandmother's Dishes were SO Special to me...I used to visit them in her pantry(little did I know then that I would be BLOGGING about them in the distant future). The dishes are "American Limoges" Glo Peche. This pattern is "Bel Claire". It IS the prettiest subtle shade of pink with silver trim(very different). AND look at that shape!!! Oh Gramma you had Wonderful taste in dishes!!! |

| A bit closer to show you a little more detail and for you to get a sense of how "different" these plates are. Those old books were published the year My Grandmother was born(1885). No wonder I have such a Deep Love for books of that time, I have hundreds of them. Like everything else of that era, they are masterpieces(Just like you Gram). You will see books scattered in EVERYTHING I do. My books are a "Living Part of my Everyday life". |

| This little guy is an antique or vintage(I really don't have a clue HOW old he is) "Chalkware Cocker Spaniel"... I LOVE him to pieces!!! I have had him "For-e-ver" and he is SO well behaved I let him sit on the table... Although I think when I'm not looking he sips my tea... |

I came back to sign up as a follower...I love your blog! This post is stunning with its beautiful dishes and linen...afternoon tea is one of my favourite things in the world, a lovely reminder of my childhood in Northern Ireland, though it was never so grand an event as this.
Now if only I can find that rose tea...:)

Oh. My. Word. Where to begin? I love this whole tea setting. It makes me want so badly to go back in time to 1885 with you and enjoy a cup of tea.
The masterpiece would have to be THE masterpiece, though!! It is simply gorgeous. Strike that. There is nothing "simple" about it.
I love the peach dishes too. This is very much my taste. And on top of it, I happen to have had a gramma whom I loved like you loved yours. Feel like a kindred soul today.

Love the antique tray and lustre ware too and I'm going to check out your rose tea - although I must say I made some rose petal tea once (from the roses I grow) and it tasted "perfumey." I think Numi's probably does NOT taste perfumey, or you wouldn't be recommending it. lol Have a great week, Beth

Oh, how pretty. I love the china and I also love the pup...I have a weakness for dogs, although I don't have a single dog figure in my home unless you count the 14-year-old beagle who is sleeping in her bed right now:)
I love tea, but I don't like flavors in my coffee or my tea. I love the name of your tea...but, I couldn't drink anything that tasted like roses. I tend to stick to Oolong or Black teas.
Your grandmother's Limoges china is beautiful - what a treasure you have. The linens, silver, books, etc. are also great. Thank you for sharing all your gorgeous photos.

I read Shell Seekers a long time ago. One of my favourites too. Did you see the movie? I believe Angela Lansbury played the part, I think.
My favourite Aunty is called "Claire" so of course I LOVE your grams pattern.
Sweet little spaniel, I used to have a real one in the 70's. He didn't like tea though lol
I will have to look for the "rose tea". I live in Canada, so most likely we don't have it. I'll keep my eyes open.

Did your grandmother make it.? Her choice of china was just perfect for the victorian era.
She was a proud American. Too bad so many don't feel that way today. In all our travels we are also so glad to get home.
